This was our second visit to the Hotel Lenox - we returned as we were delighted with it on our previous visit, last October. Again we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated, with friendly service, a lovely breakfast room and very good breakfast, and an excellent overall ambiance. We will definitely be visiting you again.
A charming hotel, cosy, friendly and warm. We were very comfortable. And affordable.
The hotel was extremely noisy. The closet doors from surrounding rooms had no mechanism to close quietly and would slam at all hours. The courtyard behind the hotel was noisy with people smoking at all hours.
The location was good; the street + neighbourhood full of restaurants. Our room design with inclusion of the bathroom, though small, was good and very functional. The air conditioning worked well. The dumpster truck loading construction waste on the street below every morning at 5:30 was unfortunate.

Staff were courteous and polite, but didn't engage in any general conversation during our stay e.g. asking if we were enjoying Paris, where had we been, was there anything they could help with. Our opinion was not even sought on check-out. Staff would benefit from some 'customer service' training in this area.
Building work (decking areas being erected) was being carried out to a separate building at the rear of the property and during the day (between 8.30 - 6.00)there was general noise associated with this. Although this was beyond our hotel's control it would have been appreciated if this could have been mentioned to us during check-in or at some point during our stay. It meant that when we returned to the hotel during the afternoon we needed to keep the windows closed to eliminate the noise so that we could rest.
Shower cubicle leaked badly - not reported as our opinion was not sought at any point during our stay.
Room was so tiny and bathroom with shower only was the tiniest we have ever seen. However very pleasant stay as staff were very friendly and helpful and location of hotel was very convenient. Close to two train stations but found the maps so small and difficult to read that it took several days to work out which line to travel on to get to the places we wanted. The breakfasts were expensive but very good and we enjoyed them. They offered tea and coffee between 4 and 6 but twice we got back from our sightseeing before 6 and found that it had all been packed away, so can't comment on that. Overall a pleasant stay.
A magnificent find in a great location away from the madding crowd. I stayed for the weekend with my 13 year old son who was very happy with our room and free movies. I loved the free tea every afternoon and the wonderful bar area in general that was open for relaxation and a break. The bathroom was wonderfully large and the tub fabulous.
Sebastian was wonderful as were the lovely night time front desk people. My only complaint were some grumpy and embarrassing fellow Americans staying there!
