Air conditioning didn't work, clerk held loud parties on street below room 'til 3 AM, TV channeling and sound didn't work. Generally, the stay was a bad experience.

I stayed twice at this hotel, first in September 2009 and second in May 2010 as the hotel location was excellent. Staff were also pleasant, which made me happy.
Unfortunately in the morning of 13/05/2010, my check-out day, a lift was broken, resulting in me walking down a staircase from 4th floor to the street level with a baggage. This was not easy. Nevertheless, except this incident, I had an enjoyable stay there.

Extremely helpful employees and perfect location in the city. Walked to numerous major Paris sites and walked right back to the hotel. Charming rooms and a nice breakfast (for a fee). Would recommend it to anybody.

the hotel was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a small water leak but this can always happen.
We would recommend to our friends.

If you're just looking for a place to sleep while exploring all that Paris has to offer, this is not a bad choice. However, if good hotel ambiance is a requirement of your travel experience, I would not recommend this property. Overall the rooms are very small and everything is quite dated. We found most of the staff to be courteous and the proximity to major attractions is excellent.

One day the elevator was out of service. The sink in the bathroom was malfunctioning and the waste paper basket lid kept falling off on the floor with a loud "bang" as its holding hook was broken. The air conditioning did not work properly, only as a fan blowing air around with no cooling whatsoever. Keeping the window open at night was not an option as the street was quite noisy. Breakfast was quite frugal. To crown it all, it took me 25 minutes to check out with only one person in front of me as the clerk was in no hurry at all! Generally, I would opt out for a more expensive hotel like Normandie where I stayed last time.

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days in Room 24. Overall, the experience was good. There are a couple of small items that, if changed, could really enhance the experience of the guest: (1) Alarm Clock in the room: The TV alarm clock did not work and most foreign travellers, who rely on cell phones as their alarm clocks cannot use their cell phones; (2) Cleanliness of Shower needs improvement: Our shower curtain had stains all at the bottom of the inside--which led to a smell in the shower. Also, the water in the shower took a very long time to drain--which may be leading to the pooled water and staining of the shower curtain; (3) Air conditioner: The room was very humid due to the weather, but the a/c was not working at its capacity. We had to turn it to below 10 degrees to get the room comfortable. Perhaps someone can look into that.
Aside from those items, I would say we had a very pleasant experience and were very happy with the location and the friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our hotel. Though the rooms were not overly large, the location of the hotel was perfect. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the Louvre and Orsay, and even Notre Dame on an ambitious day. If I return to Paris, it is likely I will stay in this hotel again

GREAT LOCATION and STAFF!!!

Poor value for money. Very small, dark and dingy rooms rooms with hardly any space for clothing. On the whole very disappointing, although location is good. We returned to Paris after our visit to the Loire valley and stayed in another three star hotel (The Favret)in the same vicinity for 1/2 the cost which had bigger and cleaner rooms.

Our stay in Paris was the last leg of a month long trip around France. We required an early check out and had been told the evening before that there would be no problem with this. With limited time we experienced a delay in checking out due to an incompetent employee at the front desk, this delay was due to a number of factors such as credit card machine not working, printer and fax machine not ready and an inability for the employee to process our detials without questioning everything that he required at least twice and with a tone that suggested that he didn't believe what we were saying. With this in mind we will not be staying at this hotel on our return to Paris which is disappointing as the rest of the hotel employees were quite helpful. It jsut proves that one incident can lead to a negative experience.
