The receptionist staff were disinterested and abrupt, bordering on rude. They simply seemed lazy. My wake up call never came in the morning, and when I pointed this out to the night receptionist, never was given an apology. The internet in my room never worked (and other guests said the same was true in their rooms), so I always had to go to the lobby to send email, and even there the access was unstable and intermittent. Without prior notification, I learned upon checking out at the end of my stay that one night I was charged 50 euros more than what was advertised when I booked the room, without any explanation from the uninformative person at the front desk. The rooms are dark and depressing, without enough light to see what is in front of you, and the curtains don't open sufficiently to let in more light. The colors of the walls and carpets are some sort of psychedelic crimson, and the place simply smells bad, presumably because of poor ventilation. It's 4-star rating is a joke. I will certainly never stay here again.

At checkout I was asked two times if I used the minibar, which I had not, and I said no both times. Still I was charged for 2 bottles of water, 7 EURO. As I was in a hurry I did not check the receipt until I was on the airport.

This is maybe not a 4-star standard but, a good!! 3-star hotel. The 2 floor rooms do not fit elderly people because of stairs. Excellent breakfast & kind service! Good service in english in the reception. Just 3 mins walk from Metro.

our room was not made when we arrived late eve. Had to relocate to new room. TV never worked. Room did not correspond to pictures on internet. Separate beds were guaranteed but not given.

Hotel location is a little farther outside of the center than we would have preferred, not much to do in the area. Very close to the subway, however, which was the biggest plus. The subway is very easy to figure out. The line is the number 5, you can connect to the number 6 in Bastille which takes you to all the major attractions. Most of the staff spoke English. One thing to note, if you don't want to take the subway it is very difficult to get a taxi, very far and few in between. We had the hotel arrange for a taxi to get us back to the airport, and when it arrived, it already had a charge of 12 euros on it, when we questioned the driver, he said it was for the charge to get to the hotel!, This should have been something the hotel shared with us. I will definitley look for a hotel that is a bit closer in. One more thing, the room we stayed in was two floors, the entrance had a small sitting area and the bathroom, a narrow widing staircase took you to the bedroom, which was decent size. I would caution anyone with trouble doing stairs against this type of room, or any large persons, it is quite narrow.

confort du lit pas terrible parce que 2 lits jumeaux collés l un a l autre et la télévision fonctionnait très mal, chambre assez petite. par contre bon accueil à la récéption.

Our room was previously occupied by smokers and we had a constant smell of smoke throughout our stay and reception informed us that they could not move us to another room as they were fully booked. There was a primary school playground right outside our room and we had a considerable amount of noise during our stay. The breakfast room was in the basement and not very attractive but we found a nice cafe just around the corner in which we had breakfast each morning. The staff were all very pleasant and the hotel was well positioned near the metro (direct link to Paris Nord Station)
