I looked for a four stars hotel to stay in Paris and I found this hotel on the web. I liked the photos and the location, but when I arrived to the hotel I got frustrated. It was completely different than what I expected. The pictures on the web are out of date. This hotel is not a four stars hotel for sure. I was shocked to see that the clean sheets and towels were piled at the reception.

Nice older European hotel (rooms, lift, halls are all small as is typical). Staff was pleasant and helpful. Now the BAD. The bed, mattress and pillows,
where the WORST in my three years of travel across 11 different countries and dozens of
hotels in Europe.

The reason I give the hotel a bad rating on service is because the hotel never informed me that my luggage (which was delayed during the flight) had arrived! When I asked for it in the morning on my way to a meeting, they said that it had arrived the night before. There was no time for me to change clothes at that point, which was annoying.
Otherwise, the service was very friendly : )

Although the room was rather small, this was probably to be expected in view of the hotel's situation. There was unfortunately no bar for late night drinkers and, as usual, the price of drinks in the mini-bar was prohibitive. In the evenings there were people sitting around reception talking loudly, almost getting in the way of the customers checking in (were these people connected with the owners or management?). The behind-the-counter staff were friendly and helpful in the extreme, as well as being multi-lingual.
Parking in the public across the street was Euros25 for 24 hours, whereas street parking was hit and miss until Friday evening when Paris starts to calm down.
